The backpack looks exactly like on the photos. The delivery was very quick and uncomplicated although Deutsche Post tried it’s best to make it difficult :)

The bag shows it’s quality in it’s fabrik and takes lots of stuff when used unfolded also for long trips.

How much does the Lund actually hold?

The roll-top construction expands the capacity from 16 litres to 20 litres : rolled down for a lean everyday profile, opened up when a jacket, a pair of shoes or the day's food comes along. Two exterior side pockets and the interior organiser keep the small things in place. If you like the format in a different cut, have a look at our Copenhague roll top rucksack.

Does it fit a laptop?

Yes. The padded laptop sleeve takes 13" and 15" laptops, with a smartphone pocket, an internal slip pocket and a zippered pocket for the rest of your kit.

Is the Lund waterproof?

The material is water-resistant, not waterproof. It can withstand light rain and splashes, but avoid heavy or prolonged rain and immersion. Protect electronics separately, wipe off moisture and let the bag dry naturally away from direct heat.

Can it come into the airplane cabin?

Compare the bag’s stated dimensions with the limits for your airline and ticket, including any weight limit. Cabin and under-seat allowances vary, and a soft bag can become larger when fully packed.

Is it made for technical hiking?

No, and it does not pretend to be. The Lund is a canvas and leather pack for the city, the commute and light trails, built to age well rather than to shave grams: it weighs 1.3 kg empty. If you want the same expandable format in a lighter technical fabric, look at the Millet Chamonix 15+5 L; for real mountain days, choose a pack with a proper suspension system.
