A full grain cowhide immersed in oil or wax. The treatment feeds the fibres deep, so every rub of the thumb, every scuff, lightens then darkens back and becomes part of the surface. That is where the Erika's patina comes from: the bag records where it has been.

Crossbody or on the shoulder, on an adjustable leather strap lined with cotton to minimize chafing, with a top leather handle for lifting it off a chair or a luggage rack. Adjust the strap once and your hands stay free.

The material is water-resistant, not waterproof. It can withstand light rain and splashes, but avoid heavy or prolonged rain and immersion. Protect electronics separately, wipe off moisture and let the bag dry naturally away from direct heat.

The back carries a clip anti-theft pocket that rides against your body, and the interior zippered storage sits protected under the leather flap. The exterior slip pockets keep the unimportant things easy to reach, and the important ones out of sight.
