Yes. The padded sleeve inside the main compartment takes laptops up to 15.6 inches, and a flat slot next to it holds a tablet or a notebook. The padding keeps the machine away from whatever else you throw in the 14.5-liter compartment.

Full grain cowhide immersed in oils and waxes until the fibers are saturated. The finish shifts tone wherever it is bent or rubbed, which gives the vintage look, and most surface scratches fade when you rub them with a thumb or a soft cloth. Over months of use the coffee brown darkens in some places and burnishes lighter in others: that patina is unique to each bag.

Only when it is packed. The RUTFORD is a soft back panel with no internal frame, so it slumps and folds when empty. That is the character of the bag, not a defect. If you prefer a leather backpack that holds a firm shape empty, choose the CAREA, the more structured 15-liter model in our range.

The material is water-resistant, not waterproof. It can withstand light rain and splashes, but avoid heavy or prolonged rain and immersion. Protect electronics separately, wipe off moisture and let the bag dry naturally away from direct heat.
