How small is the WALTER really?

35 cm x 26 cm x 13 cm for 12 L and 1.1 kg : small enough to stay light on the shoulders, big enough for a jumper, a book, your travel documents and the daily essentials. It is a one-day bag, and it does not pretend otherwise.

Does a laptop fit inside?

A 13 inch laptop lies flat in the main compartment, with room beside it for a tablet and a magazine. There is no dedicated laptop sleeve : the machine travels in the compartment itself, so a case is a sensible habit. If your laptop is full-size, the STEELE is the black laptop pack built around one.

Is it real leather?

Yes: top grain cowhide, the upper cut of the hide with its surface finished smooth and even. That cut is what gives the WALTER its deep black shine and its regular face, and it takes daily handling without complaint. The buckle, eyelets and zip pulls are aged silver, matched to the black rather than contrasting with it.

Does it fit under an airplane seat?

Yes. At 35 × 26 × 13 cm, the WALTER passes five published cabin and underseat grids, including the strictest at 40 × 30 × 15 cm. It slides under the seat in front of you, which means it never has to win a fight over the overhead bin.

Is the drawstring and flap slow to use every day?

No, and that is the magnet's job. You set the roller buckle to your length once, when the bag is new. After that the strap simply snaps on and off its hidden magnet, the drawstring pulls open with one hand, and the buckle never gets undone again.

What if 12 L is not enough?
